Our School Year Program is open for registration year round! Book a Free Trial Lesson here before enrolling.
Lesson Structure
Lessons are held once a week. Selected students may qualify for twice-weekly lessons.
- 30-Minute Lessons – Ideal for beginners and younger students with shorter attention spans.
- 45-Minute Lessons – Highly recommended for intermediate students or motivated beginners with strong focus.
Each Lesson Includes
Every lesson is designed to keep students engaged, motivated, and excited to learn.
- Technique – Finger strength, posture, and healthy playing habits.
- Sight-Reading & Rhythm – Reading music with confidence and developing steady rhythm.
- Music Theory – Scales, chords, key signatures, and musical understanding.
- Musical Expression – Dynamics, phrasing, and expressive playing.
- Creativity – Improvisation and simple composition.
- Performance Skills – Confidence and stage presence.
- Critical Listening – Developing a musical ear.
- Practice Skills – Effective practice habits and goal setting.

Book a Free Trial Lesson
To make sure Playtime Music Studio is the right fit for your child, we offer completely free, no-commitment trial lessons. We will also do our best to reserve your selected lesson time during the trial period so that others do not book it while you decide whether to enroll. However, lesson times are not guaranteed until enrollment is completed.
Instructions
- Below, browse the available teachers, lesson times, and lesson lengths.
- Select the lesson time you would also like to reserve for the school year if you decide to continue.
- Complete the registration form with your basic information.
- Enter your payment information through our secure payment system (Stripe via MyMusicStaff). You will not be charged for your trial lesson. Your payment method will simply be stored securely for future tuition payments if you choose to enroll.
- Show up at the appointed lesson time to our Studio Location and meet the teacher!
*While we make every effort to reserve your selected lesson time, it cannot be guaranteed until enrollment is completed.
Official Enrollment
Our school year runs August through May, and you may enroll at any time. Once enrolled, your lesson time is reserved for the remainder of the school year. If you need to request a different lesson time after enrolling, please contact the studio.
Enrollment Instructions
- Complete the enrollment form below.
- A $50 Enrollment & Materials Fee will be charged to cover books, lesson materials, recital fees, and other studio resources for the remainder of the school year.
- Check your email for instructions on accessing your MyMusicStaff Student Portal after submitting your enrollment.
- Log into MyMusicStaff regularly to view invoices, announcements, lesson cancellations, the studio calendar, and homework assignments.
- If you requested a different lesson time, please allow until your next lesson for us to review your request. Your portal will be updated once the new schedule has been approved.

We provide each family with access to a private MyMusicStaff portal for convenient scheduling, lesson notes, billing, and makeup lesson requests. Everything you need in one organized location! * Expect to log in weekly for updates.
